IRS CERTIFIES FOUR VANTAGE LOW SPEED ELECTRIC VEHICLES FOR TAX CREDIT
Fort Worth, TX --- Vantage Vehicle International received certification last week from the IRS offering consumers a $5,200.00 federal income tax credit for purchasing one of four qualifying Vantage low speed vehicle models.
Vantage Vehicles defines the future of electric low speed vehicles providing pure power and extreme efficiency. These 100% electric units produce zero emissions allowing many businesses and consumers to go green.
The IRS has certified four models for the $5,200 tax credit: the EVX 1000 and the EVR 1000 green trucks and the EVP 1000 and the EVC 1000 green vans. The Vantage Vehicles are eco-friendly providing innovative technology along with the ultimate in safety, comfort and performance.
These tax credits for electric vehicles were created as a result of The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). It is a dollar-to-dollar tax credit reduction from the tax owned to the IRS, not an income deduction. The tax credit is available to any business or individual that has a federal tax obligation.
The Act does have a deadline that requires the purchase and delivery to take place prior to December 31, 2009. According to the IRS a new form 8936, named Qualified Plug-in Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit, will be used for this credit.
“We could not be more pleased to be the authorized dealer for two electric vehicle lines that have been certified by the IRS for the tax credit. Whether you are buying for a facility or plant application, there has never been a better time to go green,” stated Jimmy Shoppa, President, Shoppa’s Material Handling. He continued, “The government’s tax credit incentive has really been a factor in many customers buying decision.”
